Proud provider of the safest, most effective self rescue swim lessons for infants and children in Indialantic, FL

Aloha! My name is Ahlana Kai and I happily made my home here in Indialantic, Fl. in 2015!

I have had a lifetime love of being in the water, from exploring the beaches of Hawaii or the springs of Florida. One of the biggest joys in my life is seeing how happy my son is being in the water. Now, as a certified survival swim instructor, I can ensure the safety of my little baby shark and yours!

I want to share my passion with my community and open the waters of our beachside community to the children who will grow up here.

I will be available for morning lessons in the beachside community, see you in the water!

Please complete our  Contact Form and I will be happy to get back with you as soon as possible with lesson information and availability along with instructions to complete your child’s registration.

Infant Rollback to Float Class

Age: 6-12+ months

Babies who are sitting independently and beginning to crawl learn how to roll onto their back to float, rest and breathe until they can be rescued.

Parents also learn how to practice with their baby to reinforce skills learned in lessons. Once babies are over the age of one and walking, they return to learn the swim-float-swim sequence.

SCHEDULE:
Infant lessons are 4 days per week, Monday – Thursday
*10 minutes per lesson

This class takes an average of *6 weeks to complete

*Lessons end on a performance based exit, not time-based, meaning we end each lesson on the student’s best performance of the skill we are working on that day, before they become fatigued.

*All lessons are individualized to the unique needs and abilities of each student so the exact # of lessons will vary.

Swim Float Swim

Ages 1 (and walking) to 3 Years Old

Children ages 1-3 learn to swim independently, roll onto their backs to rest and breathe, and continue the swim-float-swim sequence until the side of the pool or shore is reached.

The initial primary focus of lessons is the rotation from face-down to face-up. This will provide even the youngest “swimmers” a lifesaving skill while they are becoming developmentally ready for more advanced swimming behaviors.

Our one-on-one instruction allows your child to be able to develop their swimming skills to the fullest age-appropriate physical ability.

As skills are mastered, parents are invited to participate in lessons (typically on Thursdays) to learn how to correctly practice skills at home, as these are motor skills that will continue to improve with practice and repetition.

As our students grow and develop greater strength and coordination, we want their skills to grow with them. “Refresher lessons” are encouraged every 6 months to a year in order to develop and fine tune skills to match the rapidly growing bodies of our young students.

Recreational skills and games are also a fun addition to incorporate at this age.

SCHEDULE:Toddler lessons are 4 days per week, Monday – Thursday*10-15 minutes per lesson

This class takes an average of *8 weeks to complete

*Lessons end on a performance based exit, not time-based, meaning we end each lesson on the student’s best performance of the skill we are working on that day, before they become fatigued. *All lessons are individualized to the unique needs and abilities of each student so the exact # of lessons will vary.

Swim Float Swim

Age: 4-6+ Years Old

Children ages 4 and up learn to swim independently, roll onto their backs to rest and breathe, and continue the swim-float-swim sequence until the side of the pool or shore is reached.

Lessons for this age group have a strong focus on productive, coordinated movements and stroke development. This provides a strong foundation for safety and teaches the prerequisite skills needed to advance to formal stroke techniques.

Our one-on-one instruction allows your child to be able to develop their swimming skills to the fullest age-appropriate physical ability.

Recreational skills and games are also a fun addition to incorporate at this age.
