Hello and Welcome! My name is Emily Shuey. I am a Certified Swim Instructor located in Melbourne. When I became a mother I became hyper-aware of all the dangers that surround us. Such as, drowning being the #1 cause of accidental death among children aged 1-4. Also, knowing Florida is the state with the most pools (about 1.5 million in 2023), I began to understand the importance of water safety for all children. Drowning can occur anywhere, anytime and quickly, it is always better to prepare. I have seen first hand how well the Swim Safe Now program worked with my own son and hope to spread the same water confidence to all children.
I am dedicated to the safety of all and am CPR/ First Aid and AED certified. I offer lessons out of my host post near EFSC Melbourne and I also offer in-home lessons. Please review our website and contact me with any other questions you may have.
