Welcome to Swim Safe With Tobi!
My name is Tobi Oliver, and I am a Certified Survival Swim Instructor, specializing in teaching infants, toddlers, and preschoolers the swim-float-swim method for water safety and self-rescue.
I have years of experience working with children and adapting to their individual needs. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified through the American Red Cross and background-screened through the state of Florida.
For the 2026 season, I’m excited to bring Swim Safe Now lessons to Richmond, VA, while continuing to offer a limited number of sessions in Satellite Beach, FL. A little about me:
I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and later moved to sunny Florida to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Business Marketing from Nova Southeastern University. I grew up in the water and have over 15 years of competitive swimming experience, along with a love for all things water: swimming, surfing, wake surfing, paddle-boarding, and more!
I’ve always had a passion for working with children. My experience includes teaching PreK Sunday School, tutoring, nannying, camp counseling, and coaching as a swim and surf instructor. I’m also a Pilates Instructor and enjoy helping others build strength, mobility, and confidence in their bodies.
Above all, I’m deeply committed to water safety and ensuring every child I teach develops the skills and confidence needed to independently and safely navigate the water. I look forward to connecting with your family and hopefully seeing you poolside soon!
